Hunting for cheap flights to Rome from the Ireland? Well look no further than Globehunters!

The infamous capital city of Italy, Rome is one of the most fascinating and historical places on earth. Crammed full of ancient monuments, buildings and unforgettable sights, Rome is a firm favourite with visitors young and old from right across the globe.

Load up a brand new memory card and take a voyage of discovery through the many ancient backstreets and impressive attractions Rome has to offer. As you come into the city by road, you can’t fail to spot the iconic Colosseum looming down with its imposing structure and fascinating stories to tell. Wonderfully preserved and maintained, it’s easy to imagine the crowds of ancient Romans sitting on its stone steps whilst watching the often blood-thirsty entertainment of old. Of course there’s also the religious sites of St Peter’s Basilica and the Sistine Chapel before you climb the Spanish Steps leading into the stunning Villa Borghese park. Then finish off with the romantic backdrop of the Trevi Fountain before tucking into a famous delicious pizza, pasta or seafood dish in one of the many restaurants and trattorias.

If a buzzing entertainment scene is your idea of the perfect evening out, then you’re in for a treat too. There’s an abundance of trendy bars and nightclubs to choose from (if your feet can take it after a long day round the sights of course!). Why not begin with a prosecco on the terrace of your nearest café or hotel and see where the night takes you after sun down.

Finally, it’s well worth considering the purchase of a Roma Pass for your trip to the Italian capital. Offering unlimited travel on public transport, free entry and skip the lines to your first two museums and a reduced price on any more you visit, you may well find the Roma Pass offers excellent value for money. However, if you also want to add in the Vatican museums, Sistine Chapel, St. Peter’s Basilica and bus tours, the OMNIA Vatican and Rome card may be more suitable. After all, Rome can get quite pricey, but with one of these special cards everything’s included and paid for up front which really helps with budgeting!
